iPod Vending Machine in the wild…

When I first heard about these, I kind of thought it was a joke. Walking through the Minneapolis Airport I spotted one. Sure thing you can get everything from iPods, cases, chargers, even Bose headphones. Just swipe your card and it drops.

Here is my big question. Let’s say you decide to impulse buy the latest $300 iPod Video 80GB. You are in the airport, no CDs, even if you have your laptop you better have a good chunk of time to hit up iTunes for some music.

I think it’s a neat novel idea. I hear the one in Manhattan did $50k in a weekend. Seriously though, isn’t this a bit much? Kudos to Apple to be not only bleeding, but total legs chopped off and head in the gutter edge. This is some state of the art vending machine. Last question…..do you tip this bastard if your iPod gets hung on the glass ala a bag of Fritos??????
