Convenient way to carry CDs and DVDs in your backpack

I try to always carry around some spare CD and DVD discs in my backpack in case of emergency. Of course if not placed in a case, the discs are subject to scratches and grime making them unwritable. In the interest of saving space, and being a little too picky to toss them in a ziplock bag (another good idea) I came up with this quick inexpensive solution.

Take your CD/DVDs, about 10 works great. Take the clear plastic dummy disc that comes on top of your spindle, place it on the bottom. Stack your discs on top, and use two of the rubber wrist bands that are so popular. I tried regular rubber bands but they didn’t hold them secure enough and tend to break if they get bounced around a alot.

Bind your discs with the bands and you are good to go. A simple, safe solution to keeping discs in your bag.
