I have been looking for a reason and finally I found it. My long time pal, my Sony single disc progressive DVD-Player is dying. I think it’s actually related to buying used DVDs. I often buy used DVDs at Hastings and they have a small label on them that has the rental bar code on them. I always remove them because I am just a bit too picky to have them on.
Now, one of my projects is going to have to be cleaning all of my discs to make sure the residue is gone. The problem with my DVD player that I can’t seem to clean is there is goo on the piece that lifts the discs so it just won’t let them go.
Perfect timing to talk myself into buying the Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive add on so I can move my HDMI DVD player into the office! I haven’t purchased the drive yet, I will very soon, and I will post results and screen shots of the difference here. I wanted to post a quick thread to see what people who already have it thought? Does it upconvert DVD as well as my current DVD player? Let me know how your experience has been.
