This is hardly a tech article. Sunday I decided to unwind with a round of golf. The first such round in nearly 2 1/2 years. My friend Mike and I took off around 7am and had a nice breakfast at Denny’s. Then we headed over to Banbury Golf Club in Eagle, ID. The course was beautiful and the golf was fun but I felt with no tech to save me!
Usually I am overly connected and can find something to help me at my fingertips. If I am coding some PHP, I can hit the web. If I am looking for a way to clean guitar strings, www.google.com. Sunday, it was Me, Mike and a golf course. I never expected to play well, I shot 112 or 114, I can’t remember exactly. Mike shot a 74. I would say I was handily beaten, but that’s not the point. The point is that we all need to unplug and unwind. I forgot how relaxing a lazy round of golf with a friend can be, but I am refreshed and ready to go.
If you don’t play golf, I suggest you take it up. It’s the most frustrating form of therapy I know of
