Seemingly, I was right, at least for my purposes anyway. I just dragged the new m4v movie file created by Handbrake over top my iPad icon in iTunes, and it was seamlessly transferred to the iPad with perfect DVD quality. Try it if you're having issues. I think it was $20, but I can't remember. but maybe more to the point, it worked really well, and was fairly quick. I converted about 6 episodes of Band of Brothers from DVD to my iPad in an evening. One word of note that could impact others: very fast-paced action scenes get a little pixelated. but other than that, its very very clear. At time the video does clear up but only for a second or two and then backto the pixels. The soundtrack also skips as well. Is there some other settings I need to change or something.
