Q: When you review products, how do you maintain an unbiased opinion?
A: If you speak with my friends, co-workers and fellow online tech geeks, I solicit a lot of opinions. I try to get a reasonable live-in time with the product and make sure that I give it a true objective opinion. If I don’t like it, I try to say so with tact, but complete honesty.
Q: What are your review guidelines?
A: They are pretty simple:
- Don’t send me anything if you want me to stick to a press release unless you stipulate that it should be purely a product announcement. In those cases I will present it as a product release announcement and be clear that it is not a review and is in no way my opinion. If I find your material to be any way false or misleading I will not present it on my show.
- Unless agreed on prior to receipt of the item being reviewed, the item will not be sent back.
- Any item sent for review should be sent in it’s pre-sale retail packaging.
