It’s T-Minus 5 days till I am in Las Vegas for the Microsoft SharePoint Conference. As I am not a huge gambler or partier, I would expect a good bit of blog posts to appear the week after next. That being said, no geek travels without gadgets, and when you are traveling for a whole week, it’s time to bring out the big guns.

So this is my full pack out. Believe it or not all of this stuff fits in that single backpack on the top left. It’s quite a load of gear, it covers me for computing, reading, music, gaming and even keeping my breath smelling good!
The key points that I can’t travel without are my USB Cellular Modem, Canon G9 Digital Camera, Noise Cancelling Headphones, 120GB Zune and of course my iPhone.
Obviously there is a lot more gear here than what I just listed, but I am the Boy Scout Always Be Prepared type, so I carry all the things I can see myself needing when I am out and about.
In Las Vegas I’ll be adding a couple other things not pictured here. I’ll bring my big camera, a Canon 40D with all the associated lenses, flash and probably toss my tripod in my check bag. I’ll also bring my new favorite geek gadget, the Amazon Kindle pictured above.
The new gadgets I expect to use and try to write about while I am there are the Zune HD, the previously mentioned Kindle and Kodak Zi8 video camera.
