Steve Vai releases Naked Tracks
I haven’t tried to play anything of this caliber for quite a long time, but when I saw these were released recently, I had to go to Amazon.com and download a bit and play around.
I have always been a huge Steve Vai fan, I actually have a photo of me with him in my office!
I downloaded the “For the Love of God” track and got out my guitar and Logic Studio and played around with it for a little bit.
It’s rusty and has some junk in it, but if you are curious, I’ll stick it up here so you can give it a listen.
If you are a guitar player and want to give it a go, be sure to go to Amazon.com, iTunes or your favorite online music retailer and download them, they are fantastic.
It’s basically the songs with all the solos removed so you can noodle to your heart’s content. This was a one take shot just screwing around for 6 minutes of over-indulgent screw-offedness, and I know that isn’t a word
